Accra, Oct. 20, GNA – The Ghana Education Service (GES) on Thursday warned against the taking of bribes during admissions into Senior Secondary Schools (SSS) and asked anybody with information on such matters to report to the regional or district directors for action.
A statement signed by Mr Joseph Kwesi Odom, Head of Public Relations, said the attention of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and GES had been drawn to allegations of malpractices and malfeasance in the on-going admissions into SSS.
“The Ministry and GES take serious view of these allegations and consider the practice unacceptable as it is unethical and unprofessional.
“To this end, the Ministry and GES are requesting that anybody with such a information should bring it to the attention of the regional directors or district directors for the necessary action to be taken on such offending heads.”
