Muslims should use fasting period to pray for peace – NPP

Accra, Oct. 19, GNA- The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday asked Muslims to use the fasting period to pray for and teach the indispensability of peace and calm, particularly during the elections. This was contained in a statement issued by the party in Accra and signed by its National Chairman, Mr Haruna Esseku.

The statement reminded Muslims that as they prayed and fasted they should not forget that the nation determination to move forward to freedom in peace and brotherliness could only be accomplished when every citizen regarded the other as one people and one nation with a common destiny.

“The NPP wishes all Muslims a peaceful fasting and prosperity,” the statement said.
