State Experimental JSS are winners

Kumasi, Oct 11, GNA – State Experimental “A” emerged winners in an HIV/AIDS quiz competition organised for four Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) within the Kumasi metropolis.

The competition was organised by the Ghana National Commission on Children (GNCC) to evaluate the students’ level of awareness on the pandemic, especially on abstinence.

It was also designed to test the knowledge of the students on the disease, its causes, effects and prevention.

Master Enoch K. Poku and Miss Priscilla Abena Akyaw who represented State Experimental scored 26 points to beat AME Zion to the second position with 25 points.

Yaa Achiaa Girls who placed third with 24 points also beat Asem Boys to the fourth position with 23 points.

Mr Stephen Ofosu Darfour, the Assistant Ashanti Regional Co-ordinator of the GNCC, commended the students for their performance.
