Mr Mahami Salifu, the Regional Minister made the promise in response to a plea by the students for help to develop the University to an appreciable level so that students could have equal opportunities as their counterparts in other schools.

He advised them to take up their studies seriously and assured them of government’s support to help solve the teething problems of the university.

Mr Salifu was speaking at the launch of the “Ladies Week” at the Navrongo Campus of the University under the theme: “Conflict Management and HIV/AIDS prevention in Ghana, Role of, and Effects on, Women and Children in the community”.

He urged students who planned to go out to the communities to educate the people on HIV/AIDS and conflict management to collaborate with the NGOs working in those fields so that they could undertake the exercise together for better results.
