Accra, 24 Sept. GNA – The Convention People’s Party (CPP) on Friday approved the election of nineteen (19) members to contest the December Parliamentary election in the Greater Accra Region.
A statement signed by Nii Noi Dowuona, General Secretary of the CPP named them as: Justice Tetteh, Kpone-Katamnaso, Theophilus Mensah Boye, Krowor, Richard Ofotsu Aproti, Ada, Stanley S.S. Sackey, Ablekuma South and Anthony Mensah, Okaikoi South.
Others are Patrick Nelson Sogbodjor, Sege, Joseph Teye Mortey Abokobi/Madina, Godwin Opare-Addo, Korley-Klottey, Thelma Lantwei Lamptey, Trobu/Amasaman and Elias Nomo Tetteh, Shai-Osudoku.
The rest are Godfried Allan Lomotey, Tema West, Stephen D. Annor, Ablekuma Central, Benjamin Agbo, Ablekuma North, Ebenezer Kwesi Ocloo and Sampson Ashietey Trebi, Ledzokuku, Fynn Williams, Tema East, Nii Kwao Reindorf-Mettle, Okaikoi North, Emmanuel Nii Sackey, Weija and Charles Martey Awunarh, Ningo-Prampram.
The statement said Mr. C.K. Mbeah and Mr Edu Ansah have been given the nod to contest the Mfantsiman East and Ajumanko-Enyan-Esiam constituency seats, respectively, in the Central Region.
It said Mr E.A. Alhassan of the Nanton and Alidu Mahama of the Damango-Daboya constituencies, respectively, were elected in the Northern Region.
The statement noted that election of other candidates from the Western, Ashanti and Volta Regions would soon be completed and approved for publication by the National Secretariat.
