Kumasi, Sept 23, GNA- The Kokoso community, behind the Fourth Infantry Brigade (4BN), in Kumasi, was thrown into a state of mourning on Tuesday, when four-year old, twin brothers were found drowned in a manhole.
The deceased, Yaw Frederick (Senior) and Yaw Fredrick (Junior) allegedly went to swim in the manhole, when their Aunt, Miss Janet Akyaama, left them in the care of a neighbour to attend church service. Miss Akyaama told the Ghana News Agency at Kokoso, on Wednesday that, he returned from church to discover that the children were nowhere to be found.
She said at about 2200 hours a search team found the bodies floating in the manhole, which had been filled to the brim as a result of a heavy downpour, the previous day. A report was made to the police and a team was dispatched to convey the bodies to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) mortuary for autopsy.
