DCE commissions 87 million-cedi Nursery School block

Vea-Kulepeelga (U/E), Sept 21, GNA – The Bongo District Chief Executive (DCE), in the Upper East Region, Mr Clement Apekiya on Tuesday commissioned an 87 million-cedi nursery school block at Vea-Kulepeelga near Bongo.

The project, which was funded by a Netherlands philanthropist, Mr Ferry De-Lange, included two classrooms, an office, store, urinal and toilet.

Mr Apekiya commended Mr De-Lange for his kind gesture and assured the sponsor the Assembly would take good care of the project. He said the Assembly had provided five electric poles worth seven million cedis to support Mr De-Lange, who also provided a Honda generator to the school to enhance the activities of the Adult Education in the area.

Mr De-Lange congratulated the initiator of the project, Madam Georgina Bosu and gave the assurance that he would continue to contribute to the development of the area. Mr John Bobi of the Bongo District office of the Ghana Education service, called on the people to plant trees around the school to serve as wind brake and also make sure that their children attend school.
