The flagbearer of the NDC, Professor Mills, has finally confirmed that Mr. John Mahama is his running mate for the December Presidential election.
He is billed to announce it publicly at Cape Coast on September 25.
Sources close to the NDC headquarters have hinted that the ?Asomdweehene? broke the news to the National Executive Committee at a marathon meeting held in Accra a couple of days ago. The source authoritatively told the paper that Professor Mills? choice was based on the fact that Mahama, apart from the fact that he is media ? friendly, also commands support and sympathy from floating voters.
It said the professor also considered the fact that Mahama enjoys some support from the Muslim Community, especially those in the Zongos, notwithstanding the fact that he is not a Muslim.
