Amansie West NPP elects parliamentary candidate

Antoakrom (Ash), Sept 13, GNA – Mr Kofi Krah Mensah, an economist, was at the Weekend elected the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Amansie West constituency at its congress at Antoakrom. He polled 147 out of the 183 votes cast to beat his challenger, Nana Asafo-Adjei who had 35 votes at the election supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC).

Mr Mensah thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work hard with the constituency executive to retain the seat. Nana Asafo-Adjei pledged his support for Mr Mensah to enable him win the seat. Mr Osei Asibey Antwi, first Ashanti Regional vice-chairman of the Party and Mr Sam Cudjoe, the Regional Secretary were present at the election.
