Eleven Wonders have been thrown into renewed uncertainty after newly appointed head coach Josef Emmanuel Sarpong reportedly resigned just days into his tenure, deepening the woes of the struggling Ghana Premier League side.
Sarpong, who took over on 2 November 2025 with hopes of bringing stability through his 15 years of coaching experience, is said to have stepped down after overseeing three matches, all ending in defeat. His brief spell has added to the club’s turbulent start to the 2025/26 season, in which Wonders have secured only two points from ten league fixtures.
Although the club has yet to issue an official statement, sources close to the team suggest that internal disagreements and unresolved structural challenges played a major role in the veteran coach’s abrupt exit. The development follows the earlier dismissal of former head coach Nii Odartey Lamptey, who was relieved of his duties amid the club’s poor run of form.
Sarpong’s sudden departure has left supporters disheartened, many of whom had hoped his experience would revive a faltering campaign. With the “Sure Wonders” now without a substantive head coach, the club is expected to appoint an interim manager as they prepare for their next league outing.
The latest shake-up has raised deeper concerns about leadership, planning and direction at Eleven Wonders, who continue to search for stability both on and off the pitch.
