Hon. John Kwame Adu Jack, the Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central constituency in the Bono Region, has expressed the view that as a leader, constructive criticism plays a crucial role in shaping one’s approach to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved for transformation and progress in the leadership position entrusted to them.
As a Member of Parliament, he has expressed his opposition to the use of insults and harsh language by individuals in the media, who mistakenly regard such insults as criticisms, a notion he firmly rejects.
He emphasized that, as the representative for the people of Dormaa Central, he is receptive to constructive criticism as it fosters personal and professional growth and improvement by providing thoughtful feedback and insights.
He reiterated his disdain for public insults, which can be hurtful and damaging, emphasizing the significant difference between respectfully acknowledging areas for improvement and simply attacking an individual’s character or work without considering the consequences.
He noted that any form of constructive criticism that will enhance his work are welcomed but urges the public to refrain from substituting insults and public disrespect for criticism of government officials.
Hon. John Adu Jack emphasized that unity has been a guiding principle for him concerning Dormaa Central’s development. He affirmed his commitment to collaboration, stating that he will not act in isolation. Instead, he intends to work alongside the Municipal Chief Executive, assembly members, and other relevant stakeholders to promote the necessary development and progress for the Dormaa Central Municipality.
He urged the Assembly members to regularly engage with their constituents to gather their concerns and present these issues at Assembly meetings. This approach aims to ensure that he can contribute effectively towards addressing these challenges, thereby facilitating growth in the electoral areas and Dormaa Central as a whole.
