Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito says his side must sharpen their attack after being held to a frustrating draw by Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking after the match, Zito admitted he was “not satisfied” with the result despite Kotoko dominating large spells of the game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
“We had a lot of possession and created many chances, but we couldn’t score,” he said. “I can’t blame anyone. We simply need to work on our finishing.”
Kotoko, who have been pushing to regain consistency following a demanding fixture schedule, looked the more threatening side throughout the encounter but were repeatedly let down by poor decision-making in the final third.
Zito’s comments come at a time when the Porcupine Warriors have struggled to convert their attacking play into goals, a concern he insists will be addressed on the training pitch.
“We have to improve,” the Kotoko coach stressed. “The chances are coming. What we need now is the composure to finish them.”
The draw leaves Kotoko seeking a stronger response in their next Premier League outing as they look to close the gap on the league leaders.
