Retired educationist elected for Bosomtwe NDC seat

Kuntanase (Ash), Sept 09, GNA – Mr Edward Isaac Boateng, a 63-year-old educationist, has emerged winner of the parliamentary primaries for the Bosomtwe constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr Elisha Kobbiah, who was in the race with him, stepped down. Mr Doe Tamakloe, Deputy Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, urged the media to highlight on issues and not personalities during the electioneering campaign.

He said the NDC was the only party that held the key to the nation’s success and appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for the party to enable it save the nation from its present economic mess.

Mr Kwame Amankwah, the constituency chairman of the party, cautioned against the use of inflammatory language that can spark off ethnic conflict.
