E/R: Suhum Ayekotsehene urges Suhum youth to stay away from drug abuse

The Chief of Suhum Ayekotse, Barima Ayekotse Teinor ll, has urged Suhum youth to stay away from drug abuse, warning that it is gradually destroying their future.

Speaking to Accra fm/CTV news reporter Apelete Kofi Michel, Barima Ayekotse Teinor ll, stressed that drug use has no positive impact on health or productivity. He dismissed the notion that drugs enhance one’s ability to study or work harder, describing such claims as false and misleading.

Barima Ayekotse, expressed concern that many young citizens of Suhum with the potential to become future ministers, Members of Parliament, and even presidents are allowing drug use to ruin their lives.

He expressed deep concern over the increasing number of young people engaging in behaviours that threaten their health, safety, and future prospects. Despite the worrying trend, Barima Ayekotse Teinor ll, maintained that the situation can be turned around if collective action is taken.

He made this statement when organizing health Walk ahead of Akwantu Afahye.

He appealed to young people to avoid drugs and lead responsible, purposeful lives for their own benefit and the nation’s progress.

He urged traditional leaders, religious institutions, security agencies, opinion leaders, and other stakeholders to intensify efforts to address the problem.

Appealed to the young people in Suhum to stay away from drugs and social voices that could ruin their lives and opportunities. He said.
