The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has formally charged Hearts of Oak and club official Hussein Mohammed for breaching the Association’s disciplinary code following chaotic scenes that marred the end of Sunday’s Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The tension-filled encounter, which ended in a 1-0 victory for Asante Kotoko, descended into disorder moments after the final whistle, with tempers flaring among sections of the Hearts technical team and officials.
According to the GFA, both the club and Hussein Mohammed face charges relating to misconduct and actions deemed to bring the game into disrepute.
Hearts of Oak, already under pressure after the defeat to their fiercest rivals, have been instructed to respond to the charges by November 11, 2025.
The Super Clash, Ghana’s most storied football rivalry, once again delivered drama on and off the pitch, but the aftermath has now shifted attention from football to disciplinary scrutiny.
