GPL Sunday Show Down: Kotoko Thrash Karela As Hearts And Dreams FC Shine

The Ghana Premier League delivered a thrilling Sunday of football, with big wins and dramatic moments across matchday eight fixtures.

At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Asante Kotoko produced an emphatic performance to overpower Karela United 4-2 in front of their home fans. Hubert Gyau and Peter Amidu Acquah were among the scorers as the Porcupine Warriors continued their resurgence in the league.

In Tuba, Dreams FC recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Samatex 1996, maintaining their impressive home form, while Hearts of Oak edged Basake Holy Stars 2-1 on the road to return to winning ways.

Elsewhere, Bibiani Goldstars defeated Young Apostles 1-0, Berekum Chelsea snatched a narrow 1-0 victory against Vision FC, and Aduana FC triumphed 1-0 over Eleven Wonders in Legon.

Swedru All Blacks shared the spoils with Heart of Lions in a 1-1 draw, rounding off an exciting day of top-flight action.

With the results, Kotoko continue their climb up the table, while Hearts’ away win could serve as a turning point in their season. The title race remains wide open as the league begins to take shape heading into the mid-season stretch.
