He’s the Right Man for the Job” — Kwasi Sibo Backs Otto Addo to Lead Ghana at 2026 World Cup

Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo has thrown his full support behind head coach Otto Addo, praising his leadership and tactical approach as the Black Stars prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking to Joy Sports, the midfielder said his experience under Addo has been overwhelmingly positive, describing him as the right man to guide Ghana on the global stage.

“Personally, I feel he has done a great job, and he is still doing a great job for the national team,” Sibo said.
“Since I came to the national team, whatever tactics he gives us, whatever instructions he gives before a game, when we deliver, we get the results.”

Addo, who previously worked as an assistant at Borussia Dortmund, led Ghana to their fifth World Cup appearance after securing qualification earlier this year.

Sibo believes the coach’s clear communication and tactical precision have been key to the team’s progress.

“My personal experience has been great, and I think he is a good guy to lead the nation to the World Cup,” he added.

The Black Stars will continue preparations for the tournament with international friendlies against Japan and South Korea in November as part of their Asian tour.

The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup takes place on 5 December in Washington, where Ghana will find out their group-stage opponents.
