Call for honesty, truthfulness and faithfulness

Brekumanso, E/R), Sept. 6, GNA – Ghanaians have been called upon to exhibit honesty in all their acts and inter-relationships to promote national development and improved relations with one another. The call was made by the Rev. David Owusu-Ansah, Suhum District Pastor of the Assemblies of God, in a sermon during the induction of Pastor Yaw Oppon Boadi as Pastor in-charge of the Redeemer Assemblies of God Church at Brekumanso, near Asamankese.

Rev. Owusu-Ansah, in a sermon on the theme: “That a man be found faithful”, regretted that “what is, to a large extent, missing in the society and the church is the virtues of truthfulness, honesty and faithfulness”.

He said the three virtues were now needed than any period in the nation’s history in the quest at transforming Ghana.

Rev. Owusu-Ansah asked pastors to be faithful and be shining examples to all people, saying, “a Pastor’s stewardship would be judged by God and if it was done right, it would be richly rewarded.”

Touching on HIV/AIDS, he said if couples would be faithful to their partners they would avoid contracting the disease.

He asked the unmarried to take care of themselves and be faithful to God so that they would also be free from the disease.
