Man jailed for breaking into provisions store

Sunyani, Sept 06, GNA – A Circuit court at Fiapre, near Sunyani on Friday sentenced Yakubu Kabore, a 34-year-old sand winner, to 36 months imprisonment in hard labour for breaking into a provisions shop. He pleaded guilty to three counts of unlawful entry, of causing unlawful damage and for stealing.

Sergeant Gilbert Adayuga, the prosecutor, told the court that on August 30 Kabore broke into Madam Dorothy Kyeremeh’s shop at Chiraa near Sunyani and stole quantities of sugar, milk, sardines and 17,000 cash. A report was made to the police and he was arrested.
