Gremio forward Francis Amuzu has opened up about his decision to acquire a Ghanaian passport, revealing it was motivated by both personal pride and practical reasons beyond football.
In an interview on Asempa FM, the Belgium-born winger explained that the process was initiated by his representatives two years ago and that he is proud to officially hold Ghanaian citizenship.
“My agent contacted someone in Ghana. They told me, ‘Let’s make the passport ready and everything.’ I said, no problem, I will do it for sure,” Amuzu said. “Now I have my Ghanaian passport, and I am proud of it because it can help me for many things, not only for the national team.”
