Comoros head coach Stefano Cusin has heaped praise on the Ghana national team ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match, calling the Black Stars “a super team” filled with elite talent.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Cusin acknowledged the strength of Ghana’s squad, noting the number of players competing at the highest level in Europe.
“Black Stars is a super team,” he said. “All your players are playing in the Premier League. That tells you the level of quality they have.”
Ghana, who are just one point away from securing qualification, will host Comoros in Accra with high expectations from their fans. But Cusin insisted that his side will not simply roll over despite Ghana’s star power.
The Comoros coach also suggested that facing top-tier opposition could motivate his players to raise their level.
With Ghana looking to book a fifth World Cup appearance and Comoros aiming to shock the continent once again, the stage is set in Accra for a high-stakes battle between ambition and pedigree.
