Four drivers fined one million cedis for traffic offences

Cape Coast, Sept 2, GNA – A circuit court at Cape Coast on Wednesday fined four drivers a total of one million cedis for various traffic offences.

Charles Mensah, Emmanuel Arthur, Yawson Wisdom and Fredrick Addai pleaded guilty were fined 200,000, 300,000, 400,000 and 100,000 cedis. They would go to prison for three, four, five and one months respectively if they fail to pay the fine.

Prosecuting, Inspector Hope Azasoo told the court that police officers from the Cape Coast Motor Transport and Traffic Unit (MTTU) arrested the drivers on August 30.
