Thomas Partey says he is still settling into life at Villarreal after returning to La Liga this summer.
The Ghanaian midfielder, who spent three years in England with Arsenal, admitted that the Spanish top flight presents new challenges as he adapts to a different team and style of play.
“I’m now getting back, adapting to La Liga. It is a different team, style of play is different, and I think with time I’ll get used to it and I’ll be able to enjoy more,” Partey told Sporty TV.
The 32-year-old has already featured for Villarreal, including a start against his former club Atletico Madrid, but stressed that rhythm and consistency will be key in finding his best form again.
Partey’s move to the Yellow Submarine was seen as a fresh start after injuries blighted his final seasons in North London. His experience and composure are expected to play a crucial role in Villarreal’s campaign, both domestically and in Europe.
