Ashanti Regional Minister tours Amansie West District

Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), Aug 30, GNA- The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo has paid a duty tour of the Amansie West District of Ashanti to inspect on-going projects and inaugurate them. Communities he visited included Omanadwareye, Essuowin, Adukunama, Manso-Nkwanta and Manso-Adubia.

At Omanadwareye, he inaugurated a primary school block at a cost of 255 million cedis.

At Adukunama, Mr Boafo inspected a GETFund primary school project, while at Manso-Nkwanta he inaugurated assembly staff quarters costing 259.6 million cedis.

At Manso-Adubia, the Regional Minister addressed a durbar of chiefs and people of the area and inaugurated an electrification project, which he said would help create more jobs for the youth in the area.

Addressing a durbar at Manso-Adubia, Mr Boafo appealed to the chiefs and people to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for better health care.

Nana Doku Appiah Danquah, chief of Manso-Adubia, praised the NPP government for the cocoa mass spraying exercise and for raising the producer price of cocoa.

He appealed to government to upgrade the Manso-Adubia health centre into hospital.
