Jachie (Ash), Aug 30, GNA- The Reverend Father Anthony C. Baffoe-Awuah, the Obuasi Diocesan Youth Chaplain, has attributed the high immoral behaviour of the youth to irresponsible parenthood. He said it was sad to see parents spending huge sums of money on expensive funerals, buying expensive clothes and drinks and spending money on frivolous things to the neglect of their children’s education.
Rev Father Baffour-Awuah was preaching the sermon at the Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at Jachie in the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District of Ashanti at the weekend to round off the four-day jamboree of the Diocesan Catholic Youth Organisation (CYO). He asked parents to sacrifice part of the money they spend on their lifestyles to educate their children to secure them a better future.
Rev Father Baffour-Awuah advised the youth not to exchange their studies for indecent lifestyles like drugs, drinking, smoking and bad dressing and asked Christians to lead lives worthy of emulation.
