Some Nuquaye elects as Effutu CPP candidate

Winneba, Aug 30, GNA – Mr Some Nuquaye, rpt Some Nuquaye, a Former Assembly Member of Sankor Electoral Area, was on Saturday elected as the Convention People’s Party Parliamentary Candidate for the Effutu Constituency for election 2004.

Mr Nuquaye, who was elected by poplar acclamation by all the 67 delegates, thanked the members for the confidence reposed in him and promised to work hard when elected.

Mr Kofi Addison, Effutu Constituency Chairman of the Party, said the CPP had the men, who would find solution to the country’s problems and urged Ghanaians to vote the Party into power in the general election.

He called on supporters of the Party to tolerate the views of other parties to enable the elections to be peaceful devoid of rancour, intimidation and cheating.
