Educational institutions must raise standard of education

Wamahinso (B/A), Aug. 24, GNA- Mrs. Akua Debrah, Brong Ahafo Regional Director of Education at the weekend tasked Boards of Governors of second-cycle institutions to adopt pragmatic measures to raise standard of education in the country.

She advised school managements to cooperate with District Assemblies and develop schools in communities. Mrs. Debrah was speaking at the inauguration of a 13-member Board for Gyamfi Kumaning Secondary/Technical School at Wamahinso in Asutifi District.

Mr Michael Nsiah Agyapong, Asutifi District Chief Executive, urged tutors and students to work in harmony with the Board to ensure smooth running of the school. The headmaster, Mr Jacob Buabeng Ntim-Adjei, said the school with a population of 290 students, lack of infrastructure.
