Former fisheries minister, Hon. MAVIS HAWA KOOMSON has asserted that she never perceived any violence at Ablekuma North rerun and she didn’t go there to fight since she never dreamt of mayhem at the polling center.
She brought fore this in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show monitored by AkuapemHann where she further maintained without equivocation that if there should be any elections she wouldn’t be deterred by what happened to her at Ablekuma North constituency.
”So long as am still a politician I still belong to a party”, she vehemently reiterated “it will not deter me” stressing that, if she is destined to die through politics so be it however, it’s high time we stopped it, “that a man will raise his hand to hit a woman and kick her”.
On the other hand, she observed that the pepper spray was to disempower perpetrators who rushed towards her with knives and guns.
She want to see those guys identified during the brouhaha to be apprehended without favor after vigorous investigations are completed to serve as a warning to all of us.
It will not be fair if Interior Minister, MUNTAKA MOHAMMED treat this issue with favoritism after public sponsored investigations prove that those hooligans were NDC members.
I don’t think Mintaka will be happy if this happened to her biological sister, so he should act quickly, Hawa opined.
