Asamankese, Aug. 23, GNA – The Asamankese Circuit Court, has remanded Joseph Osei Danso, a 38-year-old farmer, in prison custody for defiling a three-year-old girl.
His plea was not taken and he is to re-appear on September 1. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Osei Owusu, told the Court, presided over by Mr S.S. Appiah, that that Joseph, who lived in the same house with the victim at Kraboakese, near Nsawam, defiled the girl on May 30, this year, while she was asleep.
A witness in the case raised the alarm when she saw the accused lying half naked on the crying girl.
Inspector Owusu said when the girl was examined, semen was found in and around her genital organ leading to the arrest of Joseph.
