Highlife musician KK Fosu has reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to music, insisting that not even the industry’s harshest storms have tempted him to quit.
“Despite the temptations to doubt and the burden of challenges, I have never once wished to turn away from music. It is my heart, my spirit, my everything,” he said.
The ‘Anadwo Yede’ hitmaker, whose musical journey spans more than two decades, says his love for music transcends fame or commercial success. In his words, music is not just a job—it is his identity.
“In life, you have to be a soldier and never give up. You see, the challenges will come, but you have to face them,” he said.
KK Fosu noted that while the public may not always see his activity in the spotlight, he remains deeply engaged in the creative process.
“You might see me quiet or taking things slowly, but behind the scenes, the creativity never ceases. I write and compose every single day. I always thank God for this gift, and I reaffirm: we don’t stop. We never stop,” he explained.
The seasoned artist, known for fusing soulful vocals with indigenous rhythms, also shared plans to expand his Dstyle Concert beyond Ghana’s borders. He revealed that the concert, which has built a loyal following locally, is being prepped for the global stage.
Beyond performing, KK Fosu is setting his sights on the future of Ghanaian music through a talent discovery initiative. He believes now is the time to raise the next generation of highlife and Afrobeat stars.
“My fans should get ready for a global Dstyle Concert and also our talent hunt aimed at nurturing the next generation of Ghanaian music stars,” he said.
