The High Court in Accra has issued a warrant for the production of Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, to answer to charges related to the non-consensual sharing of intimate images.

Agradaa, the founder of the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, is facing charges including possession of obscene material and three counts of non-consensual sharing of intimate images. Three others are also charged with conspiracy to commit crime.

The court, presided over by Justice Mary Maame Ekue Yanzuh, ruled that the prosecution has made a case against Nana Agradaa and the others, and they are required to open their defense. The court ordered Nana Agradaa to file her witness statement and processes within two weeks, with the case adjourned to July 30, 2025.

Nana Agradaa’s lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, had prayed the court to defer the ruling on the submission of no case to answer. Both the defense and prosecution informed the court that Nana Agradaa had been convicted on July 3 and sentenced to 15 years in a separate case.

The court issued a warrant directing prison authorities to ensure Nana Agradaa’s presence in court. According to reports, this case is unrelated to the one for which she was jailed.

When the case was called, “Both her lawyers and prosecution had informed the Court that Agradaa had been convicted on July 3 and sentenced to 15 years,” the prosecution said.

Justice Yanzuh ruled, “The prosecution has been able to make a case against them for which reason they are to open their defense.”
