Joseph Badu Boateng, also known as “Dada Joe Remix”, is alleged to have used romance and inheritance schemes to defraud American victims.

The US Embassy in Ghana announced the successful extradition, saying its Diplomatic Security Service special agents worked with Ghanaian authorities to assist the FBI.

The embassy said in a Facebook post: “The suspect is now in the United States where he will face justice.”

According to the indictment, Mr Boateng’s alleged fraud ring defrauded American victims of several million dollars.
