Empress Gifty to perform at FIFA Festival USA

Empress Gifty has become the first Ghanaian gospel musician to be selected to perform at the prestigious FIFA Festival in the United States.

The award-winning artist announced the milestone on June 29, 2025, via her social media page, describing the opportunity as a spiritual and personal triumph.

“My light is on. I’m dancing because I’m the only Ghanaian gospel artist going for the FIFA Festival in USA. Agaga’s superstar Noko spiritual,” she wrote.

Her invitation to the global stage is seen as a significant moment for Ghana’s gospel music industry, shining a spotlight on the growing international appeal of Ghanaian worship and praise artistry.

Known for her powerful voice, vibrant performances, and unapologetically bold presence, Empress Gifty has continued to blaze a trail within the local music scene. This latest feat not only cements her status as a leading figure in Ghanaian gospel music but also underscores the genre’s expanding global reach.

The FIFA Festival brings together artists from across the world as part of a cultural showcase tied to major international football events. Empress Gifty’s inclusion in the festival’s lineup positions her alongside global entertainers and offers her a unique platform to represent Ghana’s gospel tradition on a worldwide stage.

Her announcement has since been met with overwhelming support from fans and colleagues, many of whom have praised her for lifting the flag of Ghana high.

As the only Ghanaian gospel act invited to the event, Empress Gifty’s performance is expected to introduce a new audience to the spirited and soulful sounds of Ghanaian gospel music.
