Filmmaker who threatened to shoot police officers in viral video arrested 

The Ghana Police Service has arrested a 32-year-old filmmaker, Israel Agbo Forson, who in a viral video threatened to shoot police officers.

In a statement, the Police said he was arrested on Monday, June 23, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation at North Legon in Accra, where he resides.

The statement explained that Mr. Forson was seen in the video confronting officers and issuing threats during what appeared to be a traffic stop.

The police added that such behaviour would not be tolerated and offenders would be dealt with in accordance with the law.

“The Ghana Police Service once again condemns in the strongest terms acts of incitement, threats, and obstruction against law enforcement officers,” the statement added.

The police has called on the public to cooperate with police officers in the performance of their duties and to report any grievances through appropriate channels.

He is currently on police enquiry bail, but assisting with investigations., and yet to be formally charged.
