Mohammed Osman Nkosi, Vice President of the Ghana Federation of American Football (GFAF), has made significant strides in Ghana’s quest to become a global player in Flag Football. Nkosi’s participation in the prestigious 2025 USA Football Summer Series in Los Angeles is seen as a pivotal step in positioning Ghana as a key contender in the sport, especially with Flag Football set to debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
During his visit, Nkosi engaged with top officials from USA Football, including its Chief Executive Officer and High-Performance Directors, to discuss pathways for collaboration, talent development, and Ghana’s role in the expanding Flag Football landscape.
Nkosi’s efforts extended beyond the U.S. He also connected with representatives from federations in Canada, Panama, Japan, Mexico, Australia, and Korea. These interactions focused on international collaboration, talent exchange, and the possibility of friendly matches to foster growth and competitiveness.
Accompanying Nkosi was Chadwick Louisville, Head Football Coach of West Potomac High School, further cementing GFAF’s commitment to fostering international partnerships.
