Accra Hearts of Oak have officially reassigned former head coach Aboubakar Ouattara to the role of Special Advisor to the Board of Directors. The move comes after the club recently appointed Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as the new head coach on a two-year contract.
Ouattara, who managed the Phobians for the past two seasons, was instrumental in helping the team avoid relegation and secure a respectable fourth-place finish in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League.
In a statement, the club expressed gratitude for Ouattara’s contributions and outlined his new responsibilities:
“As a Special Advisor, Aboubakar Ouattara will be working directly with the Board of Directors on special assignments and duties. The Board conveys its congratulations to Aboubakar Ouattara in his new role and looks forward to a good collaboration to move the club to new heights.”
Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, now at the helm, has the immediate challenge of preparing Hearts of Oak for the 2025 President’s Cup against fierce rivals Asante Kotoko. The high-stakes match is set to take place on July 6, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, marking the first test of Dramani’s tenure.
The shake-up signals the club’s determination to rebuild and achieve greater success in the coming seasons, with both Ouattara and Dramani playing pivotal roles in shaping the future of the Phobians.
