The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery incident at Wassa Nkran in the Western Region.
The suspect, who has been identified as Enoch Asimiga, was arrested on June 13, 2025.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that Enoch attacked a victim near Wassa Nkran at gunpoint with a locally manufactured pistol, robbed him of some money and fled into a nearby cocoa farm.
The victim raised the alarm, prompting a swift community response that led to his arrest.
In a statement, the Police said a search led to the retrieval of one BB live cartridge, one locally manufactured pistol and a Samsung mobile phone.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting ongoing investigations and will be put before the court.
