Disregard News circulating on the media about me, it’s false – Former DCE Solomon Owusu

The immediate past District Chief Executive(DCE) for Jaman North District Hon Solomon Owusu has issued a Disclaimer refuting purported rumors circulating on the traditional and social media.

According to him, Angel Tv reported that, he (Solomon) kept 600 bags of fertilizer which was meant to be shared to farmers in his residence till it expired. In a Facebook post by Hon Solomon Owusu, he wrote that, it’s the propaganda spearheaded by the current DCE Hon George Adane.

He added that, the bags of fertilizer circulated in the media was an estimated number which he only had 200 mini bags of NPK fertilizers and 23 bags of Amonia which all came in expired before leaving office and as a matter of fact, it was already expired.  However, he said It is not true that the Fertilizers were in his private residence. He disclosed that the Fertilizers were in the DCE’s official residence because they lack space at the Assembly Store.

Therefore, he reiterated that he was only protecting the vulnerable farmers from using expiry products. He urged his constituents and the supposed farmers to disregard any news about him hording fertilizers.
