Austrian club SKU Amstetten have completed the signing of Ghanaian-German defender Lloyd-Addo Kuffour on a one-year deal from German outfit FSV Zwickau.
The 23-year-old, who came through the ranks at Borussia Dortmund’s academy, brings both versatility and experience to the Austrian second-tier side. Comfortable at left-back, centre-back or even in midfield, Kuffour is expected to add depth and tactical flexibility to Amstetten’s squad ahead of the new season.
Kuffour, who holds dual nationality, spent recent seasons gaining valuable minutes in the German lower leagues, but it was his development at Dortmund, one of Europe’s top youth systems that shaped his technical and tactical grounding.
SKU Amstetten, who finished mid-table last season, will be hoping his arrival can bolster their defensive stability and bring leadership to a young squad.
The move marks Kuffour’s first spell outside Germany and offers a fresh opportunity to make his mark on Austrian football.
