Twifo Praso (C/R), Aug.14, GNA- The Electoral Commission (EC) is to create 14 new centres, in the Heman-lower Denkyira and Atti-Morkwaa constituencies, for the photo-taking mopping up exercise.
Mr Eric Abakah Hagan, the Twifo-Hemang- lower- Denkyira, District Electoral Officer, said on Friday, when he briefed assembly members in the area, about the intended exercise at Twifo Praso. He said a total of 58,659 voters, registered in the recent voters registration exercise, in the district, as against 55,031 in 2002. Mr Hagan, therefore urged all voters whose photographs were not taken when the main exercise took off, to take advantage of the exercise in order not to be disenfranchised.
He said his office had completed recruitment of staff for the exercise.
The centres would be sited at Jukwa, Frame, Jankobo, Wawase, Heman and Afiaso in the Heman-lower Denkyira constituency, while centres at the Atti-Morkwaa constituency, would be at Praso, Mampong, Nkwantwemaso, Denyase, Nyinase, Kayireku, Wamaso and Agona.
