Student and two accomplices jailed for stealing

Tema, Aug 13, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘B’, has sentenced a 20- year-old final year electrical student, in Accra and two salesmen for stealing 25 cartons of beer.

Ishmael Obeng, and his accomplices, Bekwo Mensah, 20, and Oblittey Michael, 25 pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to steal and stealing.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Alice Gyamfi told the Court that on August 3, this year, the three persons managed to get the invoices of M.K. Lucy Enterprise, a key distributor of beer.

They forged the signature of the complainant and collected the stolen items at the company’s new distribution office at Baatsona. The forgery was detected leading to their arrest.
