Ghanaian students on scholarship in Morocco grateful to Government

The Ghanaian students studying on government scholarship in Morocco have express satisfaction and thanked the government as well as the good people of Ghana for giving them the opportunity to study abroad.

In a press statement released and copied to Brytfmonline, President of the Student group, Mr Isaac Oppong acknowledge the care and concern shown by the current government through the deputy Chief of Staff Mr Asenso Francis ,the new scholarship secretariat registrar, Mr Kinsley Agyemang and Ghana’s Ambassador to Morocco H. E. Mr Stephen Yakubu.

The statement said , over the past years students studying in that country have struggled ,suffered and chagrined in the hands of their landlords ,however all this have become issues of the past.

This the group believe is as a result of the Registrar’s visit to Morocco recently which did bring a positive impact to their survival in the country and has given them an insight of how Morocco is going to be for Ghanaian students.
Mr Oppong stated that, for the first time since 2002, the flight to Morocco is not going to be a burden for the students as well as their families, because government had absorbed all the travelling expenses.

He continued by saying that, first year students who will arrive in January 2018, would not have any issues with hostels, because the international hostel has increased their slots, whiles other students were going to be housed in a well-furnished reserved apartments in a secured environment.

All this initiatives, he attributed it to the efforts of the registrar who is working together with the embassy to help bring comfort to Ghanaian students on government scholarship living in Morocco.
The statement said, the students were likely to get a Christmas allowance, either in cash or assorted items.

Mr Oppong in the statement said , the nine months outstanding allowance of the students had been cleared and they have been given assurance that their allowances was going to come on time.

The group thanked the President, Nana Addo for given them ‘’what they have been missing for a very long time’’ adding that, the new students were going to be paid directly from Ghana since they will be coming with their debit cards.
