Kwese Sports powers youth health and networking event in Cape Coast

Kwese Sports anchor, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah on Saturday 25th November led Walkers Club Ghana along with fitness and health partners in a mega walk and aerobics showdown in Cape Coast.

The hugely attended mega workout is an initiative of Walkers Club Ghana, who over the past few months, have taken communities by storm with health, fitness and networking programs.

Supported by Kwesé Sports, the tour has seen the Walkers Club fitness team storming communities in the Volta region, Greater Accra, Eastern and Central regions so far.

The event which is co-sponsored by Kwese Sports saw renowned fitness and nutrition expert Leonard Akoto aka Mr Fitness leading the walk from the Casford fields through the various halls of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), to the UCC sports complex.

The hundreds of enthusiastic participants confirmed the UCC event as one of the biggest fitness walks ever organized by the school.

Addressing the students after the walk, Prof Mrs Olufunmilola Domenik advised on the need to take health and lifestyle as seriously as academic studies.

“You can never excel 100% academically if your bodies are not healthy to deal with the stress and pressure of university life”

National Students Ambassador Yaw Ampofo Ankrah presented a FIFA-approve beach soccer ball to the UCC SRC committee and urged them to form a beach soccer team for the 2018 National Beach Soccer League.

Each of the seven halls of UCC were also presented with Kwese decoders which will be installed in the coming days.

Ampofo Ankrah when asked about the inactivity of beach soccer in 2017, he explained that the long break was necessary to put their house in order and also to launch the national league in 2018.

Walkers Club Ghana and Kwese Sports would be storming the Koforidua Technical University on Friday, December 1 for what also promises be the biggest gatherings of students in the Eastern region for a mega health walk.

The UCC event was supported by Herbalife with health supplements and refreshment.

Capital Hill hotel provided accommodation and food for the walkers club team and Kwese Sports crew. Prof Mrs Olufunmilola has joined Walkers Club Ghana.
