We will bury our son – Nana Ansah Kwao IV tells Multimedia

The families of the late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong have indicated their readiness to take up the responsibility of burying their deceased son.

After several talks with multimedia over the body of KABA and who to cater for the final funeral rites of the deceased journalist, family members came to a conclusion that it is best and most appropriate if the family headlines activities for the burial and final funeral rites.

The venue for the burial service however, is still left hanging as the families demand to have their son buried in his home town or Accra.

Stating his points at the one week celebration, the family represented by the Adumasa Hene, Nana Ansah Kwao IV, indicated that, KABA had served Multimedia for several years and demands to have their son buried by his families.

According to him, KABA had done enough for multimedia however, the unfortunate had happened, “so we are requesting Multimedia to handle our son to us.”

“He has been a blessing to everybody and more especially the nation and is now the turn of his families to show him our last respect.”

“We are not giving the body to Multimedia to bury, we are his families and want to bury him ourselves.”

“He has a family and I learnt is time we handle the matter ourselves. Is sad, we were not expecting this though, however, there is nothing we can do than to give him our last respect.”

“KABA has brought glory to his hometown with his good works for mother Ghana and had impacted lots of people. We are sad and we have lost a great personality, he stated.”

KABA who died on Saturday morning, November 20, is expected to be laid in state on December 15 and 16.

Thanksgiving service will be followed on the 17th of December at Hebron prayer center where he worships.

The head Pastor of Hebron, Rev. Donkor, will officiate the burial and the thanksgiving service.
