MOFA and WIENCO educate farmers on proper use of agro-chemicals

Boatengkrom (Ash), Aug 10, GNA- The Ministry of Food and Agriculture, in conjunction with WIENCO, an agro-chemical company, has undertaken a four-day tour education campaign tour in the Ahafo-Ano South to educate cocoa farmers on the proper application of agro-chemicals.

Mpasaso-Dotiem, Kunsu-Dotiem, Barniekrom and Boatengkrom communities were educated on pests and disease control, appropriate spraying, pruning, fermentation and weeding.

Mr Ben Owusu Gyasi, Ashanti and Brong-Ahafo Regional Representative of WIENCO, appealed to the farmers to take good care of their farms to prevent post-harvest losses.
