Five-year-old boy killed by a speeding vehicle

Nsawam (E/R), Aug. 10, GNA – David Agbeve, a five-year old pupil, at Otoase Kindergarten school, died on the spot, while three other members of his family sustained serious injuries when a vehicle crushed into them at Otoase- Amanfrom near Nsawam.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at Nsawam Government Hospital, while his relatives who were in critical conditions are on admission.

Police Corporal Ebenezer Antwi of the Nsawam Accident Squad, who briefed the Ghana News Agency about the incident, identified the injured persons as Dora Agbeve, Mina Nkansah, and Samuel Ansah.

He said a saloon car travelling from Coaltar to Nsawam, ran over the victims who were standing by the roadside.

The driver, one Joseph Kofi Akwei who was allegedly over- speeding is helping the police in their investigations.
