Ho, Aug 10, GNA – The Ho Circuit Court has jailed Wise Kudze, a jailbird, for eight years for contempt.
The accused told the trial judge, Mr Michael Abodakpi, “You are a fucking judge”, and threatened to stab him with a louver blade at the Court.
Wise was also sentenced for another eight years for stealing. Both sentences are to run concurrently.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Appiah Kubi, said on May 22, this year, Kudze stole some household items worth 2.5 million cedis belonging to his mother and sent the goods to the Ho Prisons Canteen for sale. A Prison Officer who knew him to be a jailbird detained him with the items and alerted the Police.
