KABA’s mum breaks silence over son’s death

Mother of late Asare-Baffuor Acheampong (KABA), Felicia Amoabeng has broken her silence about her son’s death and revealed that she cultivated this daily ritual of praying with the 37-year-old who died on her laps at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Contrary to claims the ace broadcaster was rushed from a prayer camp to the health facility, she indicated that it was from his home to the hospital but pronounced dead while on admission.

“He never fell sick. I tried calling him on Thursday and demanded to know why he failed to call as we pray before leaving for work as this has become a daily ritual. I tried several times but could not get through so I quickly called his wife who gave the phone to him and he disclosed he was not feeling well so advised him to go to the hospital”

“At about 11:30 am I called again and he indicated he had attended the facility but was put on medication. Kwadwo asked to rest so I went off the line and called at about 1:30Pm when he said he was well and readying himself for work but insisted he rest if he was not feeling too well”

Later that evening I called again and he said he was well. On Friday morning I followed up with another call just to check on him but his response indicated he was getting better and I asked if he could go with me to an all-night service in the evening but he declined”, she revealed on Accra-based Kasapa Fm.
