GNA sets up committe to investigate labour issues

Accra, Aug. 9, GNA – The Board of Directors of the Ghana News Agency on Monday set up a seven-member fact-finding committee to investigate labour issues confronting the Agency and make appropriate recommendations to the Board for action.

The Board took the decision at an emergency meeting held in Accra, a statement signed by Mr Rex Owusu-Ansah, Chairman of the Board, said. The Committee would be under the chairmanship of Dr Akuamoah Boateng Anane, a Lawyer and Member of the Board.

The members are Mr Musah Abdulai and Mrs Gina Blay, both Members of the Board.

The rest are Mr J.A. Ampadu, Acting Director, Ministry of Information; Mr Kofi Asamoah, a representative of the National Media Commission; Mr Bosompem, a representative of the Labour Department and Mr Richard Ampaabeng, a representative of the Public Services Workers Union of the Trades Union Congress.

The statement said the Committee has 14 days to complete its work from the date of commencement.
