‘My son died on my laps without saying a word’ – KABA’s mum reveals

Mother of the late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong (KABA), has opened up on how the popular broadcaster died.

In her first speech since the death of her son, the teary mother, Madam Felicia Amoabeng revealed that her son died on her laps on that fateful day.

“My son died on my laps without saying a word to me”, she cried in interview on Kasapa FM. KABA, host of Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Saturday dawn after being rushed there following a short illness.

Explaining the circumstances surrounding her son’s death, Madam Amoabeng stated that she called KABA on Friday evening to join her for an all-night service but her son told her he could not make it because he was not feeling well.

This left her distressed throughout the all-night service leading her to rush to see her son immediately after the all-night service.

Upon reaching her son’s house, KABA’s condition had not gotten any better and so rushed him to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in the company of his driver where he died without uttering a word.

The 37-year-old who was the only child of his parents left behind his, wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie and their seven-month old daughter.
